That’s just a European stag beetle to you and I. However, I like the Dutch common name because in English it translates to “flying deer.” And I think that’s wonderful. I’ve been given a few of these little guys (and the head configuration says this one is definitely a guy) over the years, and I never turn them down. They’re gorgeous beetles.
