This species of Walking Stick can reproduce via parthenogenesis. So naturally this bug box has a virgin/motherhood theme. I really love these stick bugs, and they’re the first phasmatodea that I started a colony of. They’re extremely gentle - even by stick bug standards - and I keep them in a mixed enclosure. They are, however, voracious. It’s always shocking to wake up in the morning and see how much they gobbled down during the night.
